Introduction
Aga Khan University invites applications for the position of Senior Business Analyst for the newly established group of Business Process Re-engineering in IT.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to and supporting Aga Khan University’s goal of becoming a ‘Comprehensive University’ by being an integral member of a resource group that can identify, challenge status-quo and fundamentally re-think business processes that generally cause administrative overheads and/or need to be standardized at a University-wide level.
Responsibilities would include:
•Extensive studying and research of identified current business processes with end users;
•Applying creative and critical thinking and diagnostic ability to gather functional and information requirements and business rules using various elicitation and facilitation techniques;
•Benchmarking with other companies and uncovering new technology;
•Creating the key concepts, guiding principles and design of new solution/revised process;
•Collating and presenting findings to get approval for new solutions;
•Advise the functional business managers/users and project manager in striving for the implementation of best practices/processes and IT capabilities to support the business;
•Consider multiple options, analyse alternatives, and select the one that best supports the business need and technical reality;
•Drive for effective change management and critically review requirements and other Business Analysis deliverables.
Requirements
•Bachelors of Science or equivalent degree;
•Work experience of 4-6 years preferably at AKU as business knowledge is critical for this position;
•Experience/Interest in analyzing processes with an intent to change it for the better;
•Experience in BPR, Process Improvement, system definition, design & testing is preferred;
•Ability to document, analyze and assess a variety of information, identify priorities and resource and propose alternative business processes;
•Strong personality, with an ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a multi-disciplinary work environment;
•Excellent communication skills; speaking and in writing to be able to present documents in non-technical language;
•Ability to perform assigned duties under minimum supervision;
•Ability to make effective decisions under pressure.
