Job Description / Key Responsibilities – Industrial Engineer

·         Plans utilization of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to improve efficiency of operations: Studies functional statements, organization charts, and project information to determine functions and responsibilities of workers and work units and to identify areas of duplication.

·         Establishes work measurement programs and analyzes work samples to develop standards for labor utilization.

·         Analyzes work force utilization, facility layout, and operational data, such as production costs, process flow charts, and production schedules, to determine efficient utilization of workers and equipment.

·         Recommends methods for improving worker efficiency and reducing waste of materials and utilities, such as restructuring job duties, reorganizing work flow, relocating work stations and equipment, and purchase of equipment.

·         Confers with management and engineering staff to implement plans and recommendations.

·         May develop management systems for cost analysis, financial planning, wage and salary administration, and job evaluation.

·         Primary liaison between manufacturing, engineering and suppliers for sustaining & new product development.

·         Thorough understanding of MRP (Manufacturing Resource Planning) system and manufacturing processes. SAP software knowledge preferred.

·         Facilitates team meetings and acts as primary focal point with manufacturing, engineering and suppliers to complete assigned PDM (Product Development & Management) project(s) following the manufacturing checklist.

·         Responsible for creation and maintenance of BOM’s (Bill of Materials), Work Order Routers and Product Structures within the scope of assigned PDM project(s).

·         Assist with the development of manufacturing assembly & test procedures.

·         Proficient with Excel and Word.

·         Excellent organizational, communication (verbal/written) and team skills required.

·         Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace team environment.

·         Work on special projects, tasks and assignments as required.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with minimum 1 year experience, or Master's Degree in Engineering.

Desired/Preferred Qualifications

• 6 Sigma  Green or Black belt
• Intermediate analytical skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Basic project management skills.
• Sound working knowledge of principles, concepts, theories, and/or practices of applicable discipline.
