Required Senior Managers - Lahore

We are seeking candidates for 2 different positions at Multinational Retail Organization.

1) Position Title: Senior Manager Commercial – Dry Food
Reports to: Director Commercial Food
Location: Lahore (Head Office)
Salary: 200- 250k
1. PURPOSE OF ROLE (JOB SUMMARY):
To ensure the achievement of key performance figures of Dry Food Division targeted annual sales, gross profitability and “other Income” through a concerted approach in the negotiation of price/volume margin/ promotional deals with suppliers and constant attention to assortment and inventory management including obsolete items
2. POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES:
• Develop the business plan for the Dry Food Division (under the supervision of Director Commercial Food), in terms of pricing and other related sales and operational strategies in order to achieve optimum sales/profit performance as targeted
• Ensure customer satisfaction with the quality of products stocked by Company by visiting supplier sites
• Maximize the total sales throughput and gross profit performance of Company stores through the introduction of new Dry Food products of high potential
• Evaluate the potential of new product opportunities (including own-brand) in terms of sales volume and profit margin at different price levels, and make appropriate recommendations to Director Commercial Food
• Propose, and organise with suppliers, a selection of Dry Food items to be promoted through Company Mail, thus generating additional volume demand, and supplementary income
• Takes initiatives to ensure Company is competitive and ensure that the budgeted sales, gross profit and other income targets are achieved. Manage a group of Dry Food buyers on a daily basis and represent the Commercial Director. Support the Commercial Director Food in the formulation and execution of the buying policy
• To achieve budgeted gross profit, related to sales and other income targets.
• To improve, with the buyer, general and Company Mail buying terms with suppliers (Promotions, Trading agreements)
• To follow up agreements and budgets by settling points of control.
• To communicate clearly to staff management decision, plans or information.
• To transfer knowledge to potential buyers by developing their skills, organizational commitment and involvement.
• Meets regularly TOP suppliers of the division with a pre-defined agenda and a written summary of the session for an opened and easy follow up of the situation by a Director or an eventual newcomer
• To ensure that Company Mail achieve its aims and to increase the advertising revenue.
• To ensure competitiveness nationally and locally.
• To ensure that the direct reports are managed efficiently, to develop a team of buyers that will obtain goods and services in the most advantageous terms to the company.
• To determine with Operations the measurements and space allocations.
• To advise buyers on ranges and own brand development.
• Monitor sales results, Company Mail results margins, stocks and other income and ensures proper communication with buyers, and take necessary actions.
• Monitor competition on a national and local basis and re-price sensitive lines and control local leaflets where necessary.
• To plan and review assortment for the stores and new stores.
• Set themes for mail, ensure buyers’ submissions are relevant, pricing competitiveness, range balanced between deadlines met and specify end of promotions.
• To conduct an interview with Recruitment Manager for replacement or new positions in Commercial.
• Agree with Operations article group footage breakdown.
• Ensure all deadlines are met, orders, deliveries and target stocks are achieved.
• Monitor and evaluate, together with buyer, own and competitors’ assortment in terms of quality, price, availability, assortment, stock level and seasonal perspective.
• Make decisions on new suppliers and articles.
• To replace the Commercial Director during his/her absence.
• Performs other duties as may be assigned

3. Profile of the Individual
• University graduate in Business Management, Marketing, Economics or related disciplines with preferably Engineering Degree from a reputable institute
• at least 6-7 years managerial experience in commercial buying, operations process, and preferably for a major retailing or wholesaling organization computer literate
• Capable of dealing with different cultures; should have high levels of integrity should be target oriented. resourceful, with attention to details, analytical skills, excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Controlling, Persuasive, Behavioral, Evaluative, Competitive, Decisive, Innovative, Forward Thinking, Achieving

2) Position Title: Senior Manager Marketing
Reports to: Director Commercial Non Food
Location: Lahore (Head Office)
Salary: 250- 300k
1. PURPOSE OF ROLE (JOB SUMMARY):
Responsible for the development & execution of all marketing strategies while providing best solutions primarily on Company Mail, Internal and External communication, Private label and the Marketing angle of customer management
2. POSITION RESPONSIBILTIES:
• The incumbent develops, manages and is accountable for the execution of activities within the framework of the Company business model and Marketing programs developed on a regional and country level

• The Incumbent must with a clear priority on company budget in line with identified marketing tools and expected return on investment. The incumbent must prioritize budget in line with identified marketing tools and expected return on investment

• Develops and executes marketing plans in order to promote Company and its value proposition among existing and potential customers

• Ensure that the marketing plans well integrate with the company objectives and foster strategic business relationship with Sales & Operations and Commercial Departments at targeted customer segments

• Oversees and monitors the delivery performance of the distributors (post office, private courier); develops a fall back plan in case the distributors do not perform well

• Manages and controls the advertising agency, printer, and related suppliers

• Oversees all corporate communications, marketing research, events organizing and marketing
Activities

• Ensures the efficient production and timely delivery of the Company Mail

• Develops advertising media within the Company environment to generate income from the suppliers

• Determines the Company Media advertising rates

• Assists the Stores in procuring other income through the Company Media and direct marketing

• Initiates periodic research projects for the stores

• Supervises and manages all the efforts and activities of the Sales and Promotions

• Performs other duties as may be assigned

3. Profile of the Individual
• University graduate in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations or any related field
• at least 7 years managerial experience in operations process preferably business
• preferably with 2 years retail experience & skills
• Advertising, marketing research or art direction from a media agency
• Good interpersonal and leadership skills with excellent communication
• Familiar with printing and setting skills, print production and distribution is an added advantage
• Computer literate
