Senior System Administrator

A leading International SW Company is looking for Senior System Administrator Unix-Windows.



Job Description



1. Demonstrate min 5 years experience with SUN's, AIX main servers and Operating systems.

2. Monitor Windows servers for performance issues and stability concerns.



3. Regular application installations, configurations, and day-to-day administration.



4. Troubleshoot hardware and software issues as they arise.



5. Perform Backup/Restore of the applications and the Data Bases



6. Work with IIS6 on a daily basis to support customers and ensure maximum uptime.



7. Staying familiar with new versions of applications used on servers.



8. Working with and troubleshooting all of the following, including, but not limited to: SMTP, SNMP, SNTP, POP, FTP, SSL, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, telnet, DHCP, SFTP, DNS, RDP, TCP, ICMP, and UDP.



9. Use knowledge of each of the above listed technologies as related to the issue at hand.

10. Work with basic applications and their ports: backup, MSSQL, MySQL.



11. Work with permissions in Microsoft Server 2003.



12. Work with, troubleshoot, and diagnose ASP & ASP.NET languages.



13. Document issues and associated resolutions to problems.



Required Skills:





1. System Administrator having minimum of 5 years’ experience in Unix-Windows System Administration.



2. Excellent Academic background ( BE with Comp Sc. or equivalent. )



3. MCSE 2003 certificate is a must (recommended MCITP –server administrator /enterprise administrator).



4. One or more years of Microsoft Web Server administration.



5. Manage Microsoft Windows Server 2003, recommended Microsoft Windows Server 2008.



6. Manage Active Directory Service, IIS Services,



7. Microsoft ISA Server.



8. Microsoft Domain Name Service (DNS),



9. Microsoft Distributed File System (DFS),



10. Microsoft team Foundation server (TFS)



11. Microsoft Exchange Server and NAS Technology.



12. Willing and able to cover other shifts if needed.



13. Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.

14. Experience with a web hosting control panel.(Plesk 7.5 or later is a plus, but not required. ).



15. Excellent communication skills.



16. Excellent work ethics.



17. Excellent written and verbal Communication skills in the English language.

-Email and web services management including FTP and Telnet
-Backup and recovery (Tivoil Strong Manager)
-File management and hierarchy
-Interfacing Unix and Windows OS

-Virtual servers setup & management.
-Archiving & hierarchical storage
-SAN & NAS storage devices setup and management.
-Database administration.
