Job Description:

The Aga Khan Education Service, Pakistan (AKES, P), an Institution of the Aga Khan Development Network, provides educational access to more than 50,000 students across Pakistan through 185 schools with over 2000 employees. We invite applications for the following Positions:

Head of Human Resources, AKES, Pakistan

The head of Human Resources will assist the CEO in designing and operating the strategic the strategic human resource management policy within the long-term strategy development currently being undertaken by AKES, P. S/he will be responsible for the required modifications in the organizational structure and lead change within the organisation in relation to its employees with a particular focus on the repositioning of teachers and the teaching profession. S/he will demonstrate the strategic advantage of effective Human Resource Management (HRM) policies, tools and processes for achieving the vision of the organisation. S/he will provide strategic human resource management expertise and guidance to the CEO and the Board of AKES. P.
The ideal candidate should posses a Master’s degree or equivalent in HRM and organizational development with at least 7 years experience in strategic HRM development and organisational change. Specialised training in employment law, compensation, organisational planning, organisation development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labour relations will be preferred. S/he should possess excellent interpersonal, persuasion, negotiation, conflict resolution and coaching / counselling skills. Ability to function successfully in diverse cultural environments and contexts would be preferred
Positions are expected to relocate from Karachi to Islamabad in the near future.
