Based in Gladstone, you will be a vital part of a highly capable owners’ team leading the development of a first-of-kind energy project with a strong commitment to sustainability and innovation.

To support this exciting project initiative we are seeking a highly skilled process operator. As the most senior technician on shift this role will be key to ensuring that the facility is commissioned and operated in a steady, safe and reliable state. Following local and overseas training you will be fully competent in all aspects of plant operations and will be expected to perform any field and panel function on shift.

Possessing a minimum of 5 and preferably at least 10 years experience as a Senior Process Technician/ Panel Operator you will have a good working knowledge and plant specific training relating to the full range of equipment and units within a Petrochemical Refinery, Hydrocarbon or complex Chemical Processing facility. This experience may be complimented by a trade background in a Mechanical, Electrical or Instrumentation discipline; a Certificate III in Process Plant Operations (or similar); as well as qualifications in Front Line Management or Workplace Training. Regardless of specific industry background you must have the necessary leadership, interpersonal and communication skills to mentor, train, and guide more junior members of the team.

Self motivated with a proven ability to prioritise work activities, think logically, act decisively and make correct judgements in a dynamic operations environment you will display an adaptable approach to problem solving and changing operational requirements. It is also important that you demonstrate personal maturity and flexibility concerning work hours and tasks, and be willing to undertake actions beyond your explicit job responsibilities. Previous start up and commissioning experience would be well regarded.
