Area Sales Managers for Telecom Multinational

Hi All,

We are looking for candidates for positions at a large Telecom Multinational company.

Company Sector: Telecom
Position Title: Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Residential and SME
(Small and Medium Enterprises) sales
Number of Positions: 4 positions for Islamabad, and 6 positions for
Lahore (Total: 10 positions)
Position Location: Islamabad and Lahore
Salary: 60K to 75K (including a 15K Car Allowance)
Additional benefits: 150 ltr Petrol+ 2500 Mobile +
Gratuity + Health care medical for self + spouse kids and parents, Group
life insurance + one salary bonus + 45000 OPD per annum.

SUMMARY
Recommend action steps, to the management, to improve the company’s
business in the assigned territory & ensure that channel partners for
Residential segment are meeting the objectives.
MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
– Delivering on sales volume & value objectives.
– Productivity of Distributor Sales Reps (Measured against
individual targets)
– Addition of retail shops (including computer outlets)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Nurture, develop and retain the assigned channel partners
(Distributors) ensuring volume & value objectives are delivered on
continuous basis.
• Regularly accompany front line sales reps to visit the home users.
At least 10 calls in a week.
• Lead as a role model. Motivate and drive the distributor sales reps
to work towards the common goal.
• Identify and share, with the management, training needs for
the sales force.
• Ensure synergy between lead generation and customer visit team. Stay
in close touch with call centre & BTL activity manager/supervisor for
quality of leads. Provide prompt feedback to the management.
• Explore and recommend the available sales channel possibilities and
opportunities to approach the residential customers (End Users).
• Add retail outlets and ensure regular visit of distributor sales
team. Monitor productivity of each outlet. Keep a close 1-to-1
relationship with key players in this segment.
• Visit at least 10 retail outlets in a week to review the overall
business performance.
• Be vigilant on competition moves and offers in retail and door to
door segments. Work as eyes and ears of the company. Prompt reporting
on regular basis.
• Implementation & Execution of S&D strategies
• Ensure that channel partners (distributors) for SME segment are
meeting the objectives.
• Understanding & Adopting operating policy & procedure
• Ensure that channel partners (distributors) has got the full
understanding of policy & Procedures to improve company’s business.
Motivate & drive the distributors / sales team to work towards common goal.
• Day to day sales management and evaluation/ analysis of sales v/s
targets within territories and with respect to over overall sales
results.
• Ensure that sales of respective territory is meeting/exceeding
assigned budget &
• company’s business in the assigned territory is growing/expanding.
• All sales players’ performance measurements and process improvement.
• Ensure that proper training has given to the whole sales team
(distributors) to get
• continuous improvement.
• Visit at least 10 SMEs (existing target) in a week along with the
distributor sales reps to understand the service levels, customer
needs and competition activities. Share recommendations on the basis
of findings.
• Ensure the quality & consistency at all levels of S&D


QUALIFICATIONS
• To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; and/or 3 or
more years experience in sales with a leading
Telecom/ISP/FMCG/Computer & related business.
• Minimum 2 years experience of channel handling.

PROFILE
• Commercial knowledge of available data/communication technologies.
• Excellent communication & presentation skills in English/Urdu.
• Tactful, Excellent team player and a Go Getter.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
• Maintains a valid Drivers License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business
periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or
governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business
correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers,
employees, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts,
interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference,
and volume.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and
statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions,
percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of
concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization
exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in
written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw
valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with
several abstract and concrete variables.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
• Works under the broad policy guidance and direction of the GM Sales
subject to any specific direction or indirect supervision by Chief
Executive Officer.

RESPONSIBILITY FOR INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACT
• Daily contact requiring courtesy, discretion, and sound judgment.
