Senior Manager (WebSphere Portal Practice)
Streebo requires a Senior Manager to take charge of our fast-growing IBM Portal Practice at Streebo Software Labs, Karachi. This position requires strong leadership and technical skills. Ideal candidate would have proven technical management abilities through past career advancement in technology or software outsourcing companies. You need to have excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and be able to create rapport with our highly talented technical team. You will be required to lead status meetings, technical presentations and other customer calls – mostly with international customers in a variety of countries.
The ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads for subordinates is critical for this position. You have to be able to handle the pressure from many stakeholders and keep a cool head amid tight deadlines and technical challenges. Ideal candidate would be someone that sets a very high work and ethics standards for himself and the team even under high pressure situations.
The Senior Manager will be involved in the following activities:

The Senior Manager will be involved in the following activities:
- Leading a unit of developers within our IBM Portal Practice to start with – but with a vision to grow further and run the whole Portal Practice in the future. This mainly includes:
- Resource management and allocation
- Technical Project management and as time goes by, overseeing the technical project managers
- Build Architecture and Design for high-complex projects and overseeing the same for low-complexity ones
- Introduce and monitor quality standards and processes
- Involve with US-based customers for now and further evolve into a more senior role to handle multi-regional customers
- Involve in hiring high-caliber associates on a regular basis
- SM will also be involved in company's strategy meetings
The candidate will start off with an internal training on IBM WebSphere Portal & Web Experience Factory platforms, will then engage technically in projects for a while and finally take charge to lead a team of developers and technical leads delivering high quality projects.

Principal Software Engineer (WebSphere Portal Practice)
This position requires experience working with IBM WebSphere Portal, but if you inexperienced in this area and feel confident to take this up, you are encouraged to do so. You will be required to lead a team of developers to work on IBM WebSphere Portal using RAD or Portlet Factory.
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 5 years of software development/leadership experience
- Java / J2EE application development experience (3+ years)
- Sound Knowledge of Java / J2EE architecture and design patterns
- Experience in Web Application Development with java
- Experience in HTML & front end technologies
- Experience in at least one major RDBMS (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MySQL, etc.)
- Experience in Client coordination
- Excellent communication skills
- Good debugging and troubleshooting skills
