Head of Treasury

A Multinational Islamic Bank is in search of Head of Treasury. The major responsibilities of this position are as under:



Major Job Responsibilities:

a) Set up the infrastructure of Treasury Department of Islamic Commercial Bank.

b) Overall management of FX/MM/Equity Book's.

c) Establish and implement Shariah compliant treasury products and their complete process flows, both locally as well as internationally.

d) Inter bank Buy / Sell unlimited but up to amount of counterparty limit or up to amount acceptable by big banks as net exposure is zero.

e) Overall management for Foreign Exchange and Money Market trading and regulatory reserve management.

f) Dealing with Branches/Customers in all types of foreign exchange transactions and position cover operation in the inter-bank market.

g) Act as a knowledge resource and customer service liaison for bankers and customers regarding cash management processes, best practices, products and services.

h) Approve Deposit rates (PKR & FCY) & Exchange rate with in the given frame work and as a counter part seek approval from higher authorities for any special deposit.

i) Decisions of opting the best possible opportunity for the profitability of a bank (Treasury Aspect) as far as it is approved by management / Shariah.

j) Negotiate Correspondence Banking transactions and deals.

k) Representing the bank nationally as well as internationally.

l) Be an effective member of the Management Committee, ALCO, & Risk Management Committee.

m) Ensure trading and approving equity / stock market transactions are under specific guidelines and procedures as approved by the Shariah.

n) Take on overall management /approving authority for Investment decisions on criteria prescribed by the Shariah board.

o) Establish advising and confirmation lines with counterparts for trade service products

p) Customer dealing in FE 25 Investment and Islamic Instruments.

q) Any other jobs assigned by the CEO.

r) Develop and implement Manuals & Procedures as per Shariah and SBP regulations
