Assistant / or (Sr. Assistant) Warehouse Office

The requirements for the Assistant / or (Sr. Assistant) Warehouse Officer is as follows:

Main Functions:

Item Catalog Update and Development:

Knowledge of Cataloging process for spare parts management.
Be able to understand and prepare cataloged data with standard item descriptions using standard modifier dictionary method (Noun / Modifier / Attribute).
Be able to record of cataloging information in Inventory systems (e.g. Maximo or Oracle Apps).
Be able to read drawings and understand specifications.

Spare Parts and Raw Materials Planning and Forecasting:

Be able to perform spare parts planning and reordering.
Follow up with the purchasing section for requisition and clarifications on quotation.
Has worked on local and foreign orders.

Ware House Operations:

Understanding of the ware house safe work practices and procedures.
Is aware or worked in Ware House operations functions including receiving of material, issuance, returns and physical count.

Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of spare parts used in a chemical / fertilizer plant.
Knowledge of cataloging methodology and processes.
Knowledge of Inventory planning and forecasting (Reordering and purchasing processes)
Knowledge of Inventory operations (Receiving, Issuance, Returns processes)
Knowledge of material handling equipment and space management in ware house
Good communication ability (Providing information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person)
Record keeping skills
Good computer skills
Knowledge of Maximo system will be a plus

Experience:

8-10 years of experience in Warehousing of which 2-4 years should be in
material warehouse (spare parts management)

Education:
Graduate or Diploma.
Any certification in Warehouse management will be helpful

Indicative pay

Rs.20k to Rs.30k depending on suitability and experience
